L.A. GUNS Begin Recording New Album

May 3, 2005

L.A. GUNS officially commenced the recording sessions for their new album on Monday (May 2),according to a post on the group's web site. "I'm told the new stuff is awesome and from the two songs I've personally hear (just demos mind you),I have to agree," the band's webmaster writes. "The new CD should be complete by the end of May and will hopefully come out during the tour this summer." Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Vampire", "Gypsy Soul", "Hollywood's Burning", "Deliverance", "Shout Out the Night Electric", and "Skin". Producing the effort is Andy Johns, who has previously worked with guitarist L.A. GUNS on their "Waking the Dead" album (which former L.A. GUNS guitarist Tracii Guns has previously referred to as "my favorite L.A. GUNS record.").

L.A. GUNS will be teaming up with W.A.S.P.STEPHEN PEARCY (formerly of RATT) and WEDNESDAY 13 (MURDERDOLLS) for the "American Metal Blast 2005" tour beginning in early July. L.A. GUNS will also be doing one show each week on their own. Afterwards, the band will most likely be doing some fly-ins on their own until they head down to South America for four to five shows, and then over to Europe by themselves or possibly with SEBASTIAN BACH for a four-to-five-week tour this fall. A complete list of currently confirmed tour dates can be found at LAGuns.net.
