KURT COBAIN's Guitar To Be Auctioned Off

The guitar played by Kurt Cobain during NIRVANA's breakthrough "Nevermind" tour is to be auctioned, according to NME.com.

The black Stratocaster was used throughout the band's now legendary 1991 world tour, and is expected to go for around £15,000 (approximately $24,000) when it goes under the hammer in London.

Cobain's axe is expected to be one of the prize items at the Cooper Owen Rock Legends Auction on Feb. 20, alongside unheard recordings by John Lennon and Mick Jagger.
