KREATOR To Release 'Enemy Of God' DVD-Audio Edition

September 10, 2005

German thrashers KREATOR will re-release their latest album, "Enemy of God", in early 2006 in the DVD-Audio format, featuring very high quality, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, plus additional video material (including animation),including video clips by star directors Jörg Buttgereit (renowned for his cult movie "Nekromantik"),Richard Kern ("Fingered", MARILYN MANSON, various photo art books) and Niels Ruf ("Kamikaze" on German music channels Viva and Viva 2, among others). There will be also be two more features: 1. the first fully animated video clip in the band's history (one of the few in the metal genre),and a KREATOR TV show, introducing KREATOR mainman Mille Petrozza as few people know him.
"I was interested to see how such different directors as Richard Kern, Niels Ruf or Jörg Buttgereit would interpret our music," commented Petrozza, who also came up with the idea that spawned the project. "Our sound is extreme, and these three artists create extreme video installations, films and TV shows, each in their own style. The two elements go together."

"I used to scratch the [KREATOR] band name on my school desk, and now we're shooting a clip together. All it would take now for me to be perfectly happy would be for Dieter Bohlen to drop dead," said Niels Ruf about the project.

Added KREATOR mainman Mille Petrozza: "'Enemy of God' is our best-produced album thus far. But it will sound even more brutal in this special Dolby Digital edition."

In addition to the extra footage mentioned above, the DVD-Audio edition of "Enemy of God" will include a fan-created music video for the song "Dying Race Apocalypse".

"A lot of people have their own DV camera and an editing program on their PC — the production tools are in the hands of the fans at last," said Petrozza. "All we have to do is bring their ideas out of them."

Fans are encouraged to film and create their own clip and send it to this address:

SPV GmbH
Mark Kewitsch
Brüsseler Str. 14
30539 Hannover
Germany

If you only have a good idea, but no money to realize it: not to worry. Mille promises: "I'll read every treatment and every concept."

The best entry will become part of the official DVD-Audio edition of "Enemy of God" and the winner will receive 1000 euros. Other prizes include 33 KREATOR fan packages. The deadline for registration is mid-October. All video clips should be completed and submitted by mid-November.

The follow-up to 2001's "Violent Revolution", "Enemy of God" was recorded and mixed at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England with producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, SKINLAB, NEVERMORE). ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott makes a guest appearance on lead guitar on the track "Murder Fantasies".
