KORN Releases 'Family Values' CD And DVD

December 27, 2006

Launch Radio Networks reports: KORN leads the list of bands appearing on the "Family Values Tour 2006" CD and DVD, which arrived in stores yesterday (Tuesday, December 26). Both feature live tracks from all the acts on this past summer's tour, including DEFTONES, STONE SOUR, FLYLEAF, 10 YEARS and the headliners. KORN singer Jonathan Davis told Launch that the philosophy behind the tour is simple. "The bottom line is having good bands and it's all about the fans having fun," he said. "Not necessarily any kind of statement, or any kind of like crazy thing we're trying to get across when we do the tour, we just want to do a tour where kids have the ability to come to a place and not have to spend a lot of money and have a good time. And see a lot of great bands."

Among the highlights on the CD and DVD are KORN doing a mash-up of "Shoots And Ladders" and "Wicked" with DEFTONES singer Chino Moreno, STONE SOUR's Corey Taylor joining KORN for "Freak On A Leash", and a performance of U2's "Pride (In The Name Of Love)" by FLYLEAF with singer Richard Patrick from ARMY OF ANYONE.

The three previous Family Values tours, in 1998, '99 and 2001, have also been documented on CD and DVD.

KORN is currently writing and recording material for its eighth studio album. An MTV "Unplugged" performance taped earlier this month will be broadcast and released on CD in February.

The band also announced this month that drummer David Silveria is taking a "temporary hiatus" from recording and touring. A fill-in has yet to be named.
