KORN: 'Another Brick In The Wall' Audio Clip Posted Online

September 23, 2004

German KORN fan site KornWorld.de has uploaded a 30-second clip of KORN's cover of of PINK FLOYD's "Another Brick in the Wall, Parts 1, 2, 3". Download the MP3 file at this location.

KORN's version of the PINK FLOYD classic comes off the group's upcoming "best of" collection, "Greatest Hits Vol. 1", due on October 5 through Immortal/Epic.

"PINK FLOYD's an amazing band," KORN singer Jonathan Davis told MTV.com in June. "They always set a mood. The movie 'The Wall' is amazing. There were three versions of it on the original album, so we made it into one long song with 'Goodbye Cruel World' at the end."

While touring Europe this past summer, KORN chose to include "Another Brick in the Wall" in their shows. The first time they did it, though, they were unsure of the reaction they'd receive.

"We tried it in Hannover, Germany," Davis said. "Kids were out there throwing their X's up, from the movie. It was surprising to see how many young kids know PINK FLOYD and know all the words to that song."

In addition to such KORN favorites as "A.D.I.D.A.S.", "Falling Away From Me" and "Here To Stay", the 19-track "Greatest Hits Vol. 1" (view cover here) includes a cover of CAMEO's 1986 top 10 hit "Word Up".

"Freak on a Leash", a single that reached No. 6 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart and No. 10 on Mainstream Rock Tracks tally in 1999, appears twice on the set. Along with the original album version, a Dante Ross (EVERLAST, SANTANA) remix is included as a bonus track.
