KONKHRA: New Album Update

May 31, 2007

Danish extreme metallers KONKHRA recently begun re-recording their long-awaited new album after encountering technical difficulties which forced them to scrap some of the already completed early tracks.

Commented guitarist/vocalist Anders Lundemark: "We are ready to leave the comforts of James' [Murphy; ex-TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY] studio, The Safehouse, in central Florida today. We finished six solos completely, and set James up with timecodes so he knows exactly where to play on the last ones. We worked through the night the past five days, and needless to say the stuff he came up with for the record is absolutely deadly. It's been a while since James played the leads throughout an album, and it's a great experience to be part of bringing that on to the table once again. Next we will fly up to New York for a couple of days before heading back over the pond. I was talking to an old friend yesterday, and if we can find a studio that can help us out for a couple of hours on Saturday, we will add some guest vocals from Mr. Mullen of SUFFOCATION."

KONKHRA's new CD will will be mixed by Tue Madsen.

A new KONKHRA instrumental demo track, which has the working title "Killswitch One", has been posted online at the band's MySpace page.

KONKHRA released its latest CD, "Reality Check", in May 2003 through Code666 Records. The album was recorded at guitarist/vocalist Anders Lundemark's own Starstruck Studio and was the group's first since their split with longtime label Diehard Records.
