KOMMANDANT Signs To PLANET METAL

September 23, 2008

Planet Metal has confirmed the signing of Chicago's KOMMANDANT, the black/death metal group featuring former and current members of CIANIDE, USURPER, and CORPSEVOMIT. KOMMANDANT's sound is a militant and vicious assault of stripped-down metal extremity, incorporating dissonant and dirty riffing, intense and intricate machine-gun drumming, and the venomous vocal attack of Nick Hernandez.

KOMMANDANT's full-length debut, "Stormlegion", is scheduled for a late November release. The album was originally slated for release via Battle Kommand Records this summer. However, due to the time demands of Battle Kommand label boss Blake Judd's band NACHTMYSTIUM, all parties mutually agreed that Planet Metal would be the ultimate label to launch the imminent KOMMANDANT bombardment.

The track "Black Harvest" is available for streaming on the Planet Metalwebpage.
