KOMMANDANT Announces New Guitarist

October 17, 2008

Chicago-based militant metallers KOMMANDANT have announced the addition of Marcus Kolar as a second guitarist. Marcus is well known for his contributions to such bands as FOREST OF IMPALED, SARCOPHAGUS, NACHTMYSTIUM and KRIEG. Although he is more known as a bass player, he also possesses the guitar skills and creative vision to be a worthy member of the KOMMANDANT Wehrmacht.

KOMMANDANT's sound is a barbaric and vicious assault of stripped-down metal extremity, incorporating dissonant and dirty riffing, intense and intricate machine-gun drumming, and the venomous vocal attack of Nick Hernandez.

The band's debut full-length bombardment, "Stormlegion", is scheduled for a December 1 release via Planet Metal. "Stormlegion" will first be made available at KOMMANDANT's album-release show on Saturday, November 29 at Red Line Tap in Chicago.

The track "Black Harvest" is available for streaming on the Planet MetalMySpace page.
