KING DIAMOND: Treviso Cancelled, Athens Rescheduled

KING DIAMOND's manager, Ole Bang, has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Regretfully, and due to circumstances beyond our control, there will be a change of date and venue in Athens, Greece, which also caused us to cancel the show in Treviso, Italy. New date for Athens is: Monday, May 22. Venue: Gagarin 205. The show in Treviso, New Age club, scheduled for May 24 is cancelled. First KING DIAMOND show in Italy will be in Firenze-Prato, hereafter Milano and then Reggio Emilia as previously announced. We apologise for the inconvenience, and to the fans who will not be able to travel to a show."

KING DIAMOND started recording their new album in March in Dallas, Texas and at Los Angered Recording (owned by KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque) in Gothenburg, Sweden. The recording and mixing of the new album will continue in August. A release date for the new effort has yet to be announced.

KING DIAMOND last year completed a U.S. tour with NILE, BEHEMOTH and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. The band's latest studio album, "The Puppet Master", was released in 2003. A live CD, "Deadly Lullabyes Live", followed in 2004.
