August 1, 2007

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's video for the cover of the DIO classic "Holy Diver" has been posted on MySpace. The clip was shot in the Calistoga, California area the weekend of June 16-17 with director Brian Thompson. Watch the video below.

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's cover of DIO's "Holy Diver" was one of several exclusive tracks that were made available on a special CD accompanying Kerrang!'s 25th anniversary issue (street date: May 31, 2006). Entitled "High Voltage", the 15-track disc was made up of classic rock and metal songs covered by contemporary bands, with 10 of the tracks recorded exclusively for the CD. More information is available by clicking here. "Holy Diver" will also be included on the upcoming reissue of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE's most recent album, "As Daylight Dies", which will be given the special-edition treatment on August 28. This special-edition CD/DVD will contain three videos and four previously unreleased tracks.

"As Daylight Dies" has sold 266,000 copies in the United States since its November 21 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD is the follow-up to 2004's Grammy-nominated album "The End of Heartache", and 2005's gold-selling DVD "(Set This) World Ablaze".
