KEVIN DUBROW: Audio, Video Interviews Posted Online

December 8, 2007

"The Hairball John Radio Show" has made a 2004 audio interview with QUIET RIOT vocalist Kevin DuBrow available for free download at this location.

Commented the show's host Hairball John: "In August of 2004 I conducted one of several interviews with QUIET RIOT vocalist Kevin DuBrow. During this particular interview I felt he was the most open and candid as he discussed the fresh (2004) breakup of QUIET RIOT, his first solo release 'In For The Kill', his conflict with other artists and his memories of the late Randy Rhoads. In light of Kevin's recent passing, I felt that fans of Kevin and QUIET RIOT would treasure this unedited conversation."

In other news, Minnesota public access TV personalities Jonny D and Kenny K of "The Average Guys" show have uploaded an interview they conducted with DuBrow on October 2, 1999 in the game room of the Tap Room, located in the Historic Fitger's Complex in downtown Duluth. According to Jonny and Kenny, "Kevin was outstanding we joked with him, he was friendly, seemed very relaxed and willing to talk, which he did very well revealing some long-lost kept secrets, like Duluth being the very first city the band played as they began a tour with the SCORPIONS. Kevin DuBrow was not a household name amongst rock singers but the songs he sang and his vocals are undoubtedly one of the most recognizable. And in this interview you'll understand how much he loved what he did and how much his friends and his family meant to him. We are hurting knowing he's dead, but we are so damn glad that he took some time to hang with a couple of average guys and talk about a marvelous life he lived up to that time."

Watch "The Average Guys"' interview with DuBrow in two parts below.

DuBrow was found dead on November 25 at his Las Vegas home. Foul play has been ruled out, with police calling the death "accidental."

DuBrow rose to fame in 1983 with QUIET RIOT's chart-topping album "Metal Health" and smash single "Cum On Feel The Noize".

A funeral service for DuBrow was held Sunday (December 2) in Corona del Mar, California, where DuBrow was buried next to his father.
