KELLY OSBOURNE Pulls Out Of 'Freaky Friday' Remake

September 12, 2002

OZZY OSBOURNE's daughter Kelly Osbourne won't be making her feature film debut in Freaky Friday after all, according to Billboard.com. The part-time was set to star opposite Annette Bening and Lindsay Lohan in the Walt Disney Co.'s Friday, playing Lohan's musically inclined best friend in the remake of the 1976 comedy.

But Osbourne has dropped out of the project because of personal reasons, sources said. Her mother, Sharon Osbourne, has been undergoing treatment for colon cancer in recent months.

She will be replaced in the part — a role that includes singing — by Christina Vidal. Vidal, who had been cast in a smaller supporting role in Friday, will now play the best friend and lead singer of the girls' band.
