KATSUMOTO Signs With UPRISING RECORDS

February 4, 2008

Uprising Records has announced the signing of Southern California's KATSUMOTO.

Merging the ferocity of early era DARKEST HOUR with melodic IRON MAIDEN-esque hooks, KATSUMOTO has built a solid reputation in Southern California for its super-charged live performances, appealing to both rock 'n' roll and metal fans alike.

Recently featured on MySpace's "A Place for Metal", the group received over 400,000 plays in one day for their demo track "I Reap You Sow".

Looking to further expose this local sensation to a national audience, Uprising immediately sent KATSUMOTO to work with Dave Swanson (HORSE THE BAND, RUFIO, A STATIC LULLABY, SAOSIN) on the group's debut album, "Burn 'Em Down, Wipe 'Em Out".
