KATAKLYSM Frontman's EX DEO: New 'Romulus' Release Dates Announced

March 4, 2009

EX DEO, the new band led by KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono, will release its debut album, "Romulus", on May 22 (Europe) and June 16 (North America) via Nuclear Blast Records. A video for the CD's title track will be filmed shortly with renowned director Stanimir "Staca" Lukic (MOONSPELL, KAMELOT, DEATHSTARS, TYPE O NEGATIVE) in Belgrade, Serbia. Maurizio says, "The idea of the clip is to recreate the story of Romulus and the epic times of ancient Rome. We promise a breathtaking video!"

EX DEO's debut album is being recorded with producer (and KATAKLYSM guitarist) Jean-Francois Dagenais (MISERY INDEX, DESPISED ICON, MALEVOLENT CREATION).

A demo version of the EX DEO track "Cry Havoc" is available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.
