JUNGLE ROT Close To Announcing New Label Home

March 20, 2008

Wisconsin-based death metallers JUNGLE ROT have issued the following update:

"We've been negotiating with labels and it's going well. Pretty sure we're locked in with one, but can't make any official announcement until the deal is sealed.

"The new songs we're writing have been coming together nicely; we're having a blast with it and should have some fun stuff coming up.

"There is a possibility we might be releasing another DVD, either that or a DVD will be coming out with the new album. We'll see how that one pans out.

"We've got many cool designs for shirts and such and we'll be working on getting that together soon. Thanks to all the amazing artists that have contributed: Scott Jackson, Lou Rusconi, NEV, Hypnos, and The GOAT.

We are going to Europe very shortly for a tour with our buds in WARMASTER from Holland, whom we plan on tearing it up with every night! Especially in Holland... 'cuz everyone LOVES Holland. If we are coming near you, bring your ass out!"

JUNGLE ROT last fall cancelled its participation in the "Re-Animated" European tour with MASSACRE due to what they claimed was "gross mismanagement and miscommunication." The band said at the time, "There is just no way we can take the chance of going to Europe to get screwed and lose tons of money. The tour is month away and half the dates are booked. We never got our contracts. Our plane tickets were never purchased. We cannot afford to risk it at this time. We sincerely apologize to anyone affected by this decision, but we just can't get ourselves into a financial hole again."

JUNGLE ROT's video for the track "Victims of Violence" can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in June 2006 at a military vehicle graveyard in Wisconsin with director Dave Paul (DISTURBED, FIREBALL MINISTRY, SKANK) of DP Filmworks. "Victims of Violence" comes off the band's latest album, "War Zone", which was released on June 27, 2006 via Crash Music.
