JULIETTE AND THE LICKS To Open For CHRIS CORNELL On U.S. Tour

June 8, 2007

With 23 countries under their touring belts, JULIETTE AND THE LICKS — the band fronted by actress-turned-rock-'n'-roll-wildwoman Juliette Lewis — has set its sights back on the States. The quintet has been confirmed to open for former AUDIOSLAVE/SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell on his national tour, beginning July 10 in San Francisco.

JULIETTE AND THE LICKS' "Four on the Floor", the follow up to 2005's "You're Speaking My Language", has been receiving glowing praise overseas and warranting continuously sold-out shows. The album will be released July 24 on The Militia Group.

JULIETTE AND THE LICKS proudly dons its glam-rock "outfit" on "Four on the Floor", an ensemble it's clearly comfortable in. Glued together with audacity and confidence, this album rocks, struts and swaggers, not dissimilar to THE LICKS' raved-about live shows. The inherent primal nature of JULIETTE AND THE LICKS shines through on this collection, with stand-outs like "Hot Kiss", which erupts from the first note. The Village Voice took note as well, describing the contagious ditty as having "a rhythm as ferocious and playful as a barbed-wire hula hoop."
