JUDAS PRIEST Singer Calls New Album 'Unique'

December 16, 2004

The new JUDAS PRIEST album, which is called "Angel of Retribution", is "unique," according to frontman Rob Halford. Halford returned to the band in 2003, and they toured this year, but this will be their first studio record together since 1990's "Painkiller". Halford told Launch Radio Networks that the new project already stands out for him as being special. "This record, it has its own identity, along with all of the other great PRIEST back catalogue," he said. "But I think there's something more in this record — I don't know what it is yet, I can't put my finger on it, but there's a particular strength that's coming through on this release that's gonna make it one of the unique standouts in the PRIEST works."

"Angel of Retribution" comes out February 28 in Europe and March 1 in the U.S. The first single will be "Revolution".

JUDAS PRIEST's 2005 world tour starts February 23 in Copenhagen, Denmark. They're looking at North American dates in May and June, but nothing's been confirmed yet.
