JOHNNY MORROW: The Official Statement

An official statement has been issued about former the passing of former IRON MONKEY/MURDER ONE frontman Johnny Morrow, was found dead in his apartment on Saturday morning, June 22nd, by his housemate, ex-IRON MONKEY guitarist Jim Rusby.

"On Saturday June 22nd, John Paul Morrow passed away," begins the statement. "He was vocalist and frontman for the legendary IRON MONKEY and his new project MURDER ONE. Johnny had been undergoing kidney dialysis for some time, and on Saturday suffered heart failure bought on by his long illness and finally lost the battle.

"Whilst his on stage persona was one of anger, insanity and extreme passion and dedication, to those who knew him, he was the nicest, funniest most honest guy you could ever meet."

"There will be two benefit shows coming up in Nottingham and London featuring many of the bands who played with, shared membership with or were inspired by Johnny. Once all the line up details and exact dates are confirmed, you shall all be the first to know."
