JOEY VERA To Play Bass For NEVERMORE At Italy's EVOLUTION FESTIVAL

June 26, 2007

ARMORED SAINT/FATES WARNING bassist Joey Vera has posted the following message on his web site:

"I've been going between several projects here at my home studio working as engineer/producer. The technology these days allows for this, going between records, work on one for a few days, work on the next and so on. It's both good and bad. Bad because it tends to drag out the process much longer than normal.

"I mixed a record for a new Metal Blade signing called FUELED BY FIRE, which is due in a few months, I think. Also began work on a new record from SEVEN WITCHES, working as co-production and mixing. Mixing should be done in a few weeks. And finally getting to finish the CD for my buddy Jeff Duncan's band DC4. We hope to be done by late July.

"Oh yeah, and in March I played bass on several tracks for the new TRIBE AFTER TRIBE record, which is just amazing. Had a great time doing that.

"ARMORED SAINT did some shows too. We played the Viper Room in May and the Rock Hard Festival in June. Many thanks to all who showed up and made each one great shows.

"Next week I'll be heading out to Italy to play the Evolution Festival in Firenze (Florence) on July 7 with FATES WARNING. I'm also doing double duty, having been hired to play bass for Seattle's NEVERMORE who are friends of mine. Jim Sheppard is unable to play the show so I'm helping out. Been learning the tunes and looking forward to play the gig with both bands! Did I mention that Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, PAINMUSEUM) is playing drums with FATES for this show? I can't friggin' wait.

"Coming up in July I'll be doing some bass tracks for an all bass player CD which will feature many killer bassists. More details as I get them! And no, it's not being put together by Derek Smalls!"
