Brooklyn, NY-based trio ZO2, who last year supported KISS and POISON on the "Rock the Nation" U.S. tour, will host an all-star jam on Monday, October 17 at Arlene's Grocery in New York City. Though regular ZO2 drummer Joey Cassata will be absent that evening, the band have decided not to disappoint their fans by bringing in a barrage of talent. With a nod and a bow to drummer Michael Cartellone (LYNYRD SKYNYRD, DAMN YANKEES, JOHN FOGERTY) who has graciously offered his talents for the entire set, Paulie (vocals, guitar) and David Z (vocals, bass guitar) are geared up to expand their repertoire with the help of some very noteworthy musicians. Scheduled to appear are vocalist Joe Lynn Turner (DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW), guitarist Jay Jay French (TWISTED SISTER), guitarist Karl Cochran (ACE FREHLEY, NUCLEAR ASSAULT), and guitarist Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA), with drop-ins by a number of other talented musicians. The set will include ZO2 songs along with plenty of covers by your favorite rock 'n' roll bands.
