JERRY CANTRELL, BILLY DUFFY Jam With SAMMY HAGAR At Cabo Wabo Launch

Ted Nugent, Jerry Cantrell (ALICE IN CHAINS),Billy Duffy (THE CULT) and Ronnie Montrose were among the guest performers with Sammy Hagar and his band THE WABORITAS at the launch of Hagar's first stateside Cabo Wabo Cantina in Harveys Resort Casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada this past weekend. Guest performance highlights included Toby Keith with "I Love This Bar", Ted Nugent with "Cat Scratch Fever" and "Route 66", Jerry Cantrell and Billy Duffy with "Man in the Box" and "Whole Lotta Zep" (a montage of LED ZEPPELIN songs) and Ronnie Montrose with "Rock Candy".

Sunday's show began with a sit-down acoustic set. Joining Sammy were the WABORITAS bassist Mona, percussionist David Lauser and guitarist Vic Johnson along Johnny Hiland. Toby Keith performed "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Can't You See". Bob Weir came out and joined for "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" and "The Weight". Jerry Cantrell performed "No Excuses" and "Finish What You Started".

CARDBOARD VAMPYRES, the new band featuring Jerry Cantrell and Billy Duffy along with THE CULT bassist Chris Wyse and ex-MÖTLEY CRÜE vocalist John Corabi, will perform at Tahoe Wabo this Wednesday evening, May 5.
