JEFF KOLLMAN To Debut New Lineup Tonight

September 7, 2006

Los Angeles-based guitarist Jeff Kollman (COSMOSQUAD, GLENN HUGHES, MOGG/WAY) is debuting a new live lineup under the JEFF KOLLMAN EXPLOSION banner at tonight's Baked Potato (3787 W. Cahuenga Blvd., Universal City, CA) show. Kollman will be joined by bassist Christopher Maloney (Z, COSMOSQUAD, VIRGIL DONATI),drummer Glen Sobel (IMPELLITTERI, JENNIFER BATTEN, TONY MACALPINE),and keyboardist Lao Tizer.

In related news, Kollman is writing material for the long-awaited follow-up to COSMOSQUAD's highly acclaimed 2002 album "Squadrophenia", and has begun with the recording process for the second JKB record with bandmates Kevin Chown (ARTENSION, MAGNITUDE 9, EDWIN DARE) and Charlie Waymire (SPEAK NO EVIL).

Says Kollman: "We're doing it a bit different than the usual demo first/record after process. It's basically a song a day. We'll go in, look for an inspirational idea and get it on tape. The lyrics then follow. Some tunes will take 2 or 3 days depending. We'll stay on one till it's done."

The record is due to be finished in September and is being produced by Jono Brown. The band's video for "By Myself" from JKB's 2004 debut CD "Bleeding the Soul" can be viewed at www.MySpace.com/jkb

Due out in the coming days is a new JEFF KOLLMAN live record, tracked over the course of several nights at the Baked Potato during 2006. Guests include drummer Shane Gaalaas (B'Z, COSMOSQUAD, GLENN HUGHES),bassists Paul Shihadeh (SCOTT HENDERSON, SCOTT KINSEY),Kevin Chown, and Christopher Maloney, and keyboardists Ed Roth (IMPELLITERI, GLENN HUGHES, FATES WARNING),and Lao Tizer.
