Jazz-Pop Singer NORAH JONES 'Threatens' To Cover JUDAS PRIEST At Florida Concert

Sean Piccoli of Sun-Sentinel.com reports that jazz-pop singer NORAH JONES threatened to cover JUDAS PRIEST Sunday night (Nov. 14) — inspired, she said, by a VH1 special on heavy metal that she and her band mates had watched on the bus ride to Sound Advice Amphitheatre west of West Palm Beach.

Jones, 25, grinned as she addressed an outdoor crowd of 8,300 people. But the evil streak ended there. The band "didn't agree" that playing a metal tune would be fun, she said. So the audience instead got a whispery cover of "The Long Way Home", a loner's ballad by Tom Waits that appears on Jones' latest album, "Feels Like Home". Read more.
