JANE'S ADDICTION, Ex-GUNS N' ROSES, THE CULT Members Join Forces In CAMP FREDDY

CAMP FREDDY, the "jam" band consisting of JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro, former THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison (on guitar), ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum, bassist Scott Ford, and vocalist Donovan Leitch, have launched their official web site at this location.

According to a message posted on the web site, "CAMP FREDDY is not a band. We know that upon careful inspection it may appear as a band, but trust us it's not.

"CAMP FREDDY is a group of diverse musicians that like to get together, throw parties, and play cover songs that will kick your ass. If you are not into rock n' roll, close this window now.

"It started as a dare more or less. Donovan asked Billy and Scott if they wanted to play a gig for the opening of the downtown Standard Hotel in Los Angeles. They had 5 days till showtime. Always up for a challenge, they of course said yes. They pulled in a couple of friends, Matt and Dave, learnt half a dozen covers, and went off to do the show.

"They weren't prepared for the reaction, due to the fact that CAMP FREDDY had been no more than a passing idea for an occasional happening. The subsequent offers that rolled in were ignored and everybody went back to their day jobs.

"A couple of months later the opportunity arose to put together another CAMP FREDDY extravaganza, this time at Moomba in West Hollywood. Billy and Scott hit the phones with a vengeance and the list of guests who turned up not only for the show, but for the rehearsal as well, took the event to a new level. Although cameras were banned, pictures and video from the show began popping up all over the place.

"Will there be more shows? Is there going to be a record? If you wanna know, be sure to keep checking back here."
