JANE'S ADDICTION: Behind-The-Scenes Footage From 'End To The Lies' Video Shoot

June 29, 2011

JANE'S ADDICTION has just released behind-the-scenes footage from its "End To The Lies" video shoot. The Alex Bulkley-directed ("Robot Chicken") clip was shot in Hollywood, California at Studio 905 where the band members were filmed giving a live performance in front of a white backdrop so they could later be superimposed onto women's bodies.

Watch the clip to find out more about the concept of the video from the director and learn how it mirrors what the band is all about from guitarist Dave Navarro.

"The band hails from Los Angeles, California," explains Navarro. "We come from the street and so I think that the combination of the angst in the song, and the street element, the artistic element and then of course the love of sexuality and sensuality fused together, is pretty much what this band has been about since day one."

JANE'S ADDICTION's new album, "The Great Escape Artist", will be released late summer through Capitol Records. The CD was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Rich Costey (MUSE, FRANZ FERDINAND, INTERPOL),with TV ON THE RADIO's Dave Sitek on the team. Sitek, best known for his production work on TV ON THE RADIO, YEAH YEAH YEAHS and THE FOALS, is writing, programming, and playing bass on the album.

"The Great Escape Artist" marks the band's fourth studio album since 1988 and its first since 2003's "Strays". Other tracks set to appear on the CD include "Irresistible Force", which guitarist Dave Navarro described to Reuters as having "some magic captured on it," and "Splash a Little Water", which he termed "kinda ambient and cinematic."
