JAMES MURPHY BENEFIT Concert: Last-Minute Lineup Shuffles

Several changes have been made to the lineup of bands set to perform at the James Murphy Benefit concert on September 6 at Venom Night Club in St. Petersburg, Florida. Joining headliners SIX FEET UNDER on the bill will be DIABOLIC, CYST, POWER SLAVE (the IRON MAIDEN tribute band featuring Jack Owen of CANNIBAL CORPSE), THE ABSENCE, and ARCHER, with an appearance by former TESTAMENT/DEATH guitarist James Murphy himself. PATH OF MAN (featuring CANNIBAL CORPSE members Jack Owen and Paul Mazurkiewicz along with HELSTAR/SEVEN WITCHES frontman James Rivera) and MONSTROSITY have both pulled out of the gig since it was originally announced. All proceeds from the show will go to pay Murphy's mounting medical bills, which he has incurred as a result of receiving treatment for a massive brain tumor with which he was diagnosed in August 2001.
