Italy's ALEPH And SOWN To Release New Albums In July

May 23, 2007

On July 6, Fuel Records will release the latest albums from two promising Italian metal bands: progressive metallers ALEPH with "In Tenebra" and the nu-metal outfit SOWN with "Downside".

According to a press release, "In Tenebra" is ALEPH's debut album which was released on the Italian market exclusively at the end of 2006. The band's sound is described as a mixture of PAIN OF SALVATION with elements of heavier sounding bands such as OPETH, ATHEIST and PESTILENCE. ALEPH was voted "Revelation Band 2006" in the Metal Hammer Italy Readers' Poll and in July 2007, ALEPH will tour Europe as the special guest of DISMEMBER.

Sound samples can be streamed on www.myspace.com/alephmetal.

SOWN's sound has been compared to that of such diverse acts as BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, TRIVIUM, DEVILDRIVER, IGNITE, EKTOMORF, EARTHTONE9 and MUDVAYNE. Included on "Downside" is a heartfelt tribute to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell in the form of a cover of PANTERA's "Suicide Note Pt. 1".

Sound samples can be streamed on www.myspace.com/sown.
