IT DIES TODAY To Release 'Sacred Heart' Video This Month

September 7, 2006

IT DIES TODAY is set to release the video for "Sacred Heart" (Sacre Coeur) from its new album, "Sirens", at the end of September. The clip was filmed by Salzy (MUDVAYNE, MEGADETH, DAMAGEPLAN) in downtown Los Angeles in the Poodle Parlor, which is a vintage warehouse that people rent out to film. Based on the true story behind the lyrics, the video narrative documents a celebration of the wished death of a former unfaithful lover.

"Sirens", produced by Gggarth Richardson (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, JESUS LIZARD) and Ben Kaplan, co-produced by vocalist Nicholas Brooks and guitarist Mike Hatalak, sees the band's sound still replete with their signature of brutal riffs and punishing breakdowns, but pushing this theme farther, with more double bass drum attacks, anthemic choruses, and driving melodic vocals. The album is set to be released on October 17.

IT DIES TODAY is getting ready to head out on a national tour with SILVERSTEIN and AIDEN, taking a brief respite from a hectic summer of touring, which started with a U.K. tour with good hometown friends EVERY TIME I DIE. From there, there was a headlining run with HASTE THE DAY and FLEE THE SEEN, a stint on the west coast Warped Tour with labelmates EIGHTEEN VISIONS, finishing up with a few weeks on Strhess Tour alongside STILL REMAINS, POISON THE WELL, SUFFOCATION, and SHADOWS FALL.
