IT DIES TODAY, HASTE THE DAY Featured On 'A Santa Cause II' Compilation

November 7, 2006

Immortal Records announces the release of "A Santa Cause II". Due out November 21, this innovative digital-only compilation will be sold exclusively through MySpace. Log onto www.myspace.com/asantacause for more information. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Cure Autism Now, an organization of parents, clinicians and scientists dedicated to accelerating the pace of scientific research to prevent, treat and cure autism — for individuals and families today, and for future generations.

"A Santa Cause II" features both top acts and up-and-coming artists spanning the worlds of rock, punk, emo, indie and hardcore. For a consumer-friendly price of $9.99 (or .99 cents per song) fans can download the diverse compilation of 30 brand new holiday songs. Some of the dozens of artists that appear on this year's compilation are: SUGARCULT, IT DIES TODAY, SCARY KIDS SCARING KIDS, HASTE THE DAY, THE FORMAT, JUNE, ACTION ACTION, SPITALFIELD, A CHANGE OF PACE, DAPHNE LOVES DERBY, HOT ROD CIRCUIT, MEG & DIA, MC LARS, BRANDSTON, BRAZIL and many more to be announced soon.

Immortal Records — the label that brought you KORN, INCUBUS, and 30 SECONDS TO MARS — successfully re-launched in 2004 as an independent label brand. At the forefront of digital innovation, Immortal has embraced the opportunity to be the first label to release an album exclusively through MySpace. "We have tremendous respect for MySpace and its ability to market music directly to the fans," notes Immortal Records CEO Happy Walters. "MySpace has played such an invaluable role in the development of these artists' careers."

"We are honored that Immortal Records chose Cure Autism Now as the beneficiary of their 'A Santa Cause' holiday release," says Peter Bell, President and CEO of Cure Autism Now. "As autism has become a major health crisis around the world, we are grateful to organizations such as Immortal Records for raising awareness about autism and funding for our research and treatment programs through their innovative music projects."

The previous "A Santa Cause" CD compilation in 2003 was a great success with participating bands including BLINK 182, FALL OUT BOY, MXPX and NEW FOUND GLORY, to name a few. The album sold 50,000 copies and received over 100,000 downloads.
