Johannes Jonsson of Metal For Jesus has completed work on a special version of the Bible called the "Metal Bible". Besides the New Testament in easy-to-understand language (Living Bible) it will also contain testimonials from metalheads about what God and the Bible has meant to them. Some of the participants include Brian "Head" Welch (ex-KORN),Nicko McBrain (IRON MAIDEN),Tommy Aldridge (WHITESNAKE),Rob Rock, Ken Tamplin, Christian Rivel (NARNIA),Simon "Pilgrim" Rosén (CRIMSON MOONLIGHT),Karl Walfridsson (PANTOKRATOR),Pastor Bob Beeman (Sanctuary International),Matt Smith (THEOCRACY),Luke Renno (CRIMSON THORN),Carl Johan Grimmark (NARNIA),Torbjörn Weinesjö (VENI DOMINE),Steve Rowe (MORTIFICATION) and many more. The first version of the "Metal Bible" will be published in Swedish, but plans are already being made to release it in German, English and Portuguese as well. The purpose of this special Bible is to "break down prejudices and misconceptions that many metalheads have about the Bible and show that the Bible is not a boring book but an interesting book that has a lot to tell us today." A book "trailer" can be found at this location.
