IRON MAIDEN Producer Confirms April Fool's Day Gag, Prepares To Master New CD

As expected, IRON MAIDEN producer Kevin Shirley has confirmed via his official web site that his April 1 posting regarding Ozzy Osbourne's guest appearance on the upcoming MAIDEN album was in fact an April Fool's Day joke. "Yes - I know - it was a bad April Fool's gag, but thanks for humoring me!" he wrote.

IRON MAIDEN's follow-up to 2000's "Brave New World" has been fully recorded and mixed and is set to be mastered next week at Sterling Sound Studios in New York City. A summer release through Sony/Columbia Records is expected.
