April 20, 2005

NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) will be releasing the IRON MAIDEN "Somewhere in Time" and "Piece of Mind" Eddie action figures late May. "Boasting a very large put-together three-piece diorama base, the 'Piece of Mind' Eddie will feature a ball jointed neck and torso and chains." With regards to the "Somewhere in Time" Eddie action figure, a posting on the NECA web site states: "Heavy Metal fans everywhere got excited when we announced our line of IRON MAIDEN collectibles, and here is our first 7" scale action figure to start off the line. Equipped with an arsenal of futuristic weaponry, this cyborg Eddie is based on the album artwork for IRON MAIDEN's 1986 release 'Somewhere In Time'. Sculpted by Kyle Windrix and painted by Ed Repka, this action figure comes with a collapsible diorama base, three removable guns, alternate left hand, and is fully posable, featuring ball jointed hips and neck."
