INTO ETERNITY Tap Touring Drummer

July 28, 2004

Canada's INTO ETERNITY have announced that Pit magazine's own Adam Sagan has been tapped to tour with the band taking over the drum throne. After the position was vacated by longtime member Jim Austin, a worldwide call was made for a replacement and it was answered by Madison, Wisconsin's Adam Sagan, one of the band's most adamant supporters and assistant editor of Pit magazine. "I have been aware of the band for years," says Adam, "and had missed seeing them live on three different occasions. When I received 'Buried In Oblivion' [the band's 2004 Century Media release] earlier this year I was blown away. This is music that I have always wanted to hear, classically influenced progressive death metal. Most impressive is that the band actually performs live the intricate vocal harmonies they record. I am really honored to be a part of the band and look forward to playing ProgPower and touring with one of my favorite bands, KATAKLYSM."

"We are really excited to be working with Adam, he’s an awesome drummer with great double bass. He catches on really quick and fits perfectly with the band," says guitarist Tim Roth. "We are working really hard to get him up here full-time." Adam has been playing drums for 13 years, and has been playing with his own band HALCYON for four years. HALCYON broke up in January 2004 after releasing a self-titled EP in 2003. INTO ETERNITY have upcoming performances at Atlanta's prestigious ProgPower USA V in September, and a full European tour with KATAKLYSM, GRAVEWORM and MYSTIC CIRCLE in October.
