Instrument Retailer To Give Away Front-Row Tickets To AEROSMITH

September 26, 2005

Combining the best in music and cars, Guitar Center has created a September "Rock N' Ride" promotion in which one lucky winner will receive a new 2006 Ford Mustang as well as four front row tickets to an AEROSMITH concert. With September signifying the end of summer, Guitar Center has banded together with Gibson, AEROSMITH and Ford to give its customers one last chance to rock n’ ride before heading into fall.

"Guitar Center's 'Rock N' Ride' promotion is a celebration of classic American icons such as AEROSMITH, Gibson and Ford," said Jack Sonni, Vice President of Marketing Communication for Guitar Center. "There is a deep connection between our core group of musician customers and these brands, each of whom represent industry leaders who continue to reinvent themselves while staying true to their roots."

Presented by Gibson, who supplies guitars for legendary AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry, Guitar Center's "Rock N' Ride" promotion will give away front row tickets to an AEROSMITH concert. Ranking in the top ten in terms of most rock albums ever sold, AEROSMITH will tour the U.S. in the fall of 2005.

In addition to the front row seats, Guitar Center and Gibson will give away a 2006 Ford Mustang. A throwback to the 1970s model, the new Ford Mustang comes equipped with the latest in power and luxury, including a 300hp, V8 engine.

"A promotion with Guitar Center will enable Ford to connect with music enthusiasts who have supported the evolution of the Mustang into an iconic vehicle," said Michelle Erwin, Ford Division, Car Communications Manager. "Guitar Center is a growing property that has afforded Ford Division the opportunity to connect with a very niche audience that is not found elsewhere."

The month-long September promotion will culminate with the winner announcement in mid-October. Participants can submit entries at any Guitar Center location or online at www.guitarcenter.com.
