INFECTIOUS GROOVES: Studio Update

October 14, 2003

INFECTIOUS GROOVES, the funkadelic side project of SUICIDAL TENDENCIES frontman Mike Muir, have posted the following update on the songwriting/recording sessions for their new album:

"INFECTIOUS GROOVES has been writing songs for the new CD and will start pre-production tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday. Saturday and Sunday we'll all be busy working on STudio and Saturday afternoon [producer] Paul Northfield flies [in]. Paul worked with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and INFECTIOUS GROOVES in the past on such CDs as 'The Art Of Rebellion', 'Suicidal For Life', 'Freedumb' and mixed 'Groove Family Cyco'. Paul worked with everyone from RUSH, QUEENSRŸCHE, MARILYN MANSON, COURTNEY LOVE, SMASHING PUMPKINS etc, and helped several of them to put their own studios together.

"Recording will start Monday, Oct. 20th and we hope to have most of it done by the start of the Eastpak Resistance Tour. As we said previously, Ron Brunner Jr. will be on drums, his brother Steve on bass, and Dean Pleasants will be playing guitar of course, with Mike Muir on vocals.

"In the past, we've always been lucky enough to have Adam Siegel do the artwork. Adam is an amazing artist, as well as an insane guitar player as you all know. This time we hope to get Steve to help out with the artwork. Steve is actually a great artist too, and we hope to have a sample of the artwork up soon. When we finalize a title...you'll be the first to know."
