3 INCHES OF BLOOD Vocalist JAMIE HOOPER Forced To Sit Out OZZFEST Tour

July 13, 2007

Vancouver, B.C.-based heavy metal warriors 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have issued the following statement:

"As we start the Ozzfest tour, we are unfortunately one member short. Jamie Hooper has been experiencing problems with his voice and thus his ability to sing. Under the recommendation of doctors, Jamie has been advised not to perform until his voice has healed. As a result, Jamie will not be appearing with us on Ozzfest. Justin Hagberg will be pulling double duty, playing guitar and singing most of Jamie's parts. We hope Jamie's recovery is as painless as possible and is back in the fold by the fall."

3 INCHES OF BLOOD's new album, "Fire Up the Blades", sold 5,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 147 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded at Vancouver's legendary Armoury Studios (AC/DC, KISS) and Mushroom Studios (QUEENSRŸCHE) with producer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) and engineer Dan Turner. Darker, tighter and more dangerous than the band's previous works, "Fire Up the Blades" features songs such as "Night Marauders", "The Goatrider's Horde", "Assassins of the Light" and "Black Spire" and is full of vivid imagery, masterful guitar acrobatics and the skyscraping vocals of Cam Pipes and Jamie Hooper that 3 INCHES OF BLOOD is known for.
