INCANTATION Mainman: 'This Year Has Been A Milestone In Our Career As A Band'

December 26, 2007

Mainman John McEntee of the Pennsylvania-based death metallers INCANTATION has issued the following update:

"Well, first off I want to send out a big thanks to everyone at Massive Music [tour organizers] for making this amazing tour [INCANTATION's recent tour of Europe] a reality. We are very grateful that you gave us the opportunity to preform in so many countries that we have never played before. You guys really stepped up to the plate.

"The third leg of the European tour was the Blitzkrieg 4 with VADER, ROTTING CHRIST, KRISIUN, and my other band FUNERUS. It was a true honor to be a part of such a strong package after so many attempts have failed in the past to play Poland. We want to thank all our longtime supporters for coming out and kicking ass every night. You guys made the long wait worth it. We look forward to returning to Poland again and hopefully as a headliner.

"The fourth leg of our two-month European tour was of the Balkans. What can I say?! Once again it was brilliant. This was our first time in the Balkans and it was bad-ass! It was so great to play for all these people that never got the opportunity to see us live before. Every night the crowd was fired up for some killer metal. It was also cool to have the addition of or labelmates and longtime friends ESTUARY on the bill. This part of the tour just felt like a all out assault by all the bands every night.

"We would like to send out a big hail to: KRISIUN, VADER, ROTTING CHRIST, FUNERUS, AMEBTI, RIUL DOAMNEI, ESTUARY, INACTIVE MESSIAH, CRIONICS (we hope you guys are well after your disaster on your Russian tour) Massive Music and crew for making our two-month tour such a great experience. Also a big thanks to Reyash for once again doing a great job on bass on the tour along with being a true brother of metal.

"This year has been a milestone in our career as a band. We have had the opportunity to play more countries we have never played before than any other year in our history and it's been a true honor. I want to thank all our die-hard supporters around the world for showing us your support.

"I want to also send out my condolences to Vitek and the guys in DECAPITATED. We had the opportunity to tour with them back in 2002 here in the USA. We were blown away buy their brutality and talent. From all of us in INCANTATION, you will be missed."

INCANTATION has been confirmed for next year's Central Illinois Metalfest, set to take place July 18-20 at the Canopy Club in Urbana, Illinois.

The MetalList webzine recently posted video footage of INCANTATION performing at the Moscow Metal Fest on September 22, 2007 at Tochka Club in Moscow, Russia. Watch the clip below.
