Barbara Caserta of Linea Rock and Radio Lombardia recently conducted an interview with IN THIS MOMENT vocalist Maria Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth. You can now watch the chat below.
Asked how she feels when she is being consistently named one of the "hottest chicks in hard rock" by the editors of Revolver magazine and metal fans alike, Brink said: "When I think of myself, I don't think I'm one of the 'hottest chicks in the world.' I have all kinds of insecurities. I don't think it's about… Like, even in our stage performance, it's vulnerable at certain times, it's sad, it's raging… It's not just about being a sex symbol, or being sexy to appease everyone. I'm not about that. I do something because I'm comfortable in it, but it's mine and nobody else's; nobody can touch it and nobody can have it. And it has to have also… It can't just be about being sexy. It has to have all the emotions involved, I think, on the album and in the live show. Because if you do all sex, you lose all of the other beautiful things that should be a part of it… And just being sexy will get you nowhere. You could be the sexiest woman in the world, and if you can't sing, if you're not an artist and you can't create a show, you can't have power in front of a crowd, you're gonna crash and burn. So if you just try to rely on that, you're not gonna get very far."
