IN THIS MOMENT Guitarist Checks In From PAPA ROACH Tour

April 24, 2009

Guitarist Chris Howorth of Southern California's IN THIS MOMENT has issued the following update:

"I am writing this from our dressing room in Berlin (Germany) after an amazing show alongside PAPA ROACH and FILTER.

"This tour has been so great for us; all the shows are sold out and all the fans are going nuts every night.

"IN THIS MOMENT was welcomed with open arms by the entire PAPA ROACH band and crew, and sharing the bus with FILTER has been an absolute pleasure; they are great people. Unfortunately for FILTER, their guitarist Mitch (Marlow) had a personal issue at home and had to leave the tour immediately. So Jesse (Landry, IN THIS MOMENT bassist),Blake (Bunzel, IN THIS MOMENT guitarist) and myself stepped up to the plate and took over guitar duties for the remainder of the tour. And let me tell you, it's a big deal for us.

"We have been listening to FILTER since back in the day and getting onstage and playing with them is a fucking thrill! We basically split the set into two songs each. Jesse does the first two songs, Blake the second two and I close the show with 'Jurassitol' and 'Hey Man Nice Shot'.

"Like I said before, it's a thrill. FILTER has sold six million records and we get to play sold-out European shows with them; it's pretty damn cool.

"We are heading home in six days and it's gonna be nice to get back to the USA for a couple of weeks. Then off to Japan and then Warped Tour. See you there!"

To promote the band's current European tour, IN THIS MOMENT has released a special edition of its latest album, "The Dream", featuring three bonus tracks — "Sailing Away", "Dying Star" and a cover version of BLONDIE's "Call Me" (audio stream below).
