In Memory Of RANDY CASTILLO

March 28, 2002

A memorial site has been set up for late OZZY OSBOURNE/MOTLEY CRUE drummer Randy Castillo at www.randycastillo.com.

The following written tributes were taken from the above-mentioned site:

Carmine Appice (ex-OZZY OSBOURNE/BLUE MURDER):
I just heard and I am shocked about Randy's passing. He was a great fellow drummer and the nicest guy. I just saw him at the AEROSMITH concert he looked great and his attitude was great...I was so pleased to see him then. It was the first time that I seen him since he had gotten sick... I was so happy he was working on a new project... He looked young and healthy. May he rest in peace... I will certainly miss him... Love, Carmine Appice

Tracii Guns (L.A. GUNS):
I cannot believe Randy is gone. So many of our friends that we all grew up with musically have moved on lately. Randy was one of the friendliest, most outgoing musicians and persons I had ever come across. I had heard that he was fully recovered, so I just assumed everything is OK. That's what I get for assuming and now I can't call him to check up on him. NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING EVER!!!!!!!!! Randy was awesome. Love, Tracii

Ozzy Osbourne:
I am heartbroken about the passing of one of my dearest friends. I will see you on the other side, Randy. I love you. Ozzy

The following message from MEGADETH drummer Jimmy DeGrasso was posted at www.megadeth.com:

I read the news today of Randy Castillo. We didn't know each other very well, but I would run into him from time to time. Whether it be in Mexico in a club or at a photo shoot in LA. Every time I ran into him, he was warm and friendly. We spoke at a photo shoot before the Maximum Rock tour in the spring of 2000. We were looking forward to hanging out over the summer. Unfortunately, this never happened because of his health. There is a kinship amongst all drummers. It makes me sad that we won't be hearing him play anymore. May he rest in peace.
