IN FLAMES: 'A Sense Of Purpose' Spherical Labyrinth Box Set Edition Available

Nuclear Blast Records has released a spherical labyrinth box set edition of IN FLAMES' new album, "A Sense of Purpose". Strictly limited to 1,500 copies, the set contains a wooden spherical labyrinth (size 280 x 232 x 78 mm, outer wall 15 mm higher) including a metal ball with the IN FLAMES logo and the album plus a bonus DVD. It also comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

IN FLAMES recently set a new MySpace Sweden record for the number of plays of an entire album within a one-week period. The group's latest CD, "A Sense of Purpose", was streamed 1,094,749 times for the week endng April 2, crushing the previous record on MySpace Sweden, which was held by MESHUGGAH's "ObZen" (255,000 plays)

Released in North America this past Tuesday (April 1) via Koch Records (April 7 in most of Europe through Nuclear Blast),the follow-up to 2006's "Come Clarity" was recorded at the band's own IF Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden and was mixed by Toby Wright (METALLICA, SLAYER). The group received assistance during the vocal-recording sessions from producer Daniel Bergstrand, who previously produced the vocals on "Reroute To Remain", "Soundtrack To Your Escape" and "Come Clarity". All artwork for the album was created by Alex Pardee for ZeroFriends. Alex also created the artwork for the first single, "The Mirror's Truth".

"The Mirror's Truth", the new video from IN FLAMES, is available for viewing below. The clip was filmed in January at an abandoned factory site in Skellefte, Sweden with the Swedish company Popcore (NORMA JEAN, UNDEROATH, KHOMA, CULT OF LUNA).

Another new IN FLAMES track, entitled "Abnegation", is featured on the "Viva La Bands, Vol. 2" album, which was released on September 4, 2007 via Ferret Music and Filthy Note Records.

IN FLAMES, CHILDREN OF BODOM, JOB FOR A COWBOY and HIGH ON FIRE will play this year's Gigantour in North America beginning mid-April and running through the end of May. Headlining the trek will be MEGADETH.
