ILL NINO: New Song Available For Streaming

June 6, 2010

A brand-new track from the New Jersey/New York band ILL NINO entitled "Scarred (My Prison)" is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Commented the group: "We know it's been a while but, we have some great news for you all. At the moment, we are well into the production of our new record.

"It feels awesome to be back in the studio making new music.

"Looking back to our first record, 'Revolution', it feels like it was just yesterday. Except it's 2010 and you've stuck with us for almost 10 years!

"Thank you for being patient. We love you all!

"This record is going to be worth the wait!"

"Scarred (My Prison)" Lyrics:

I give you my life, it's my only device
You take the knife to cut a hole
You carve my heart to make believe
You can see through my soul and my eyes
You use the vise to hold my heart
You'll pay the price l bring you

I wear the scars

I will not walk away
I will never give in
I'll wear the sin
But not within
I will bury the scars
I will rise once again
I'll break away
I won't give in

I wear scars

I give you my heart like it's never enough
You kill the pain to start again
You cut my veins to make me bleed
To believe you and I are the same
I've payed the price to shut my eyes
Across my heart, how could you

I wear the scars

I will not walk away
I will never give in
I'll wear the sin
But not within
I will bury the scars
I will rise once again
I'll break away
I won't give in

I wear scars for you

I give my life like it's never enough
I wear the scars but it's never enough
I bleed for you but it's never enough
It's never enough, it's never enough for you
The scars are never enough for you
The scars are never enough for you
The scars, the scars, the scars [End of lyrics]

ILL NINO recently inked a deal with Victory Records. The band entered the studio in April to begin its new album for a late summer release.

ILL NINO last year split with Cement Shoes Records, which released 2008's "Enigma". According to drummer Dave Chavarri, the CD sold 80,000 copies worldwide "with no backup in America."

ILL NINO parted ways with Roadrunner Records in 2006 — less than a year after the release of ILL NINO's third album, "One Nation Underground".
