ICON IN ME: Free 'Download Package' To Be Made Available On Wednesday

ICON IN ME — the Russian/Swedish/Danish modern metal band featuring HOSTILE BREED guitarist Dmitry Frans, Danish drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen (SUBMISSION, THE ARCANE ORDER, SCARVE, INSTANT CARNAGE, STRANGLER, SCARVE, SOILWORK) and Swedish vocalist Tony Jelencovich (M.A.N, ex-MNEMIC, TRANSPORT LEAGUE) — will release a free music download from its upcoming sophomore album, "Head Break Solution". The download package will be available on April 6 from the group's web site, IconInMe.com, and will contain the song "The Quest" plus three other tracks, including a cover of "Mississippi Queen".

"Head Break Solution" will be released this summer via the Chicago, Illinois-based label Goomba Music.

The drums for "Head Break Solution" were laid down at CBS Studios in Holsted, Denmark. 13 songs were reportedly recorded during the sessions, including "Wasted Ways", "Solid Child", "Face It", "Thousand Wars", "Flood Kills" and "Nuclear Drama". The CD was mixed by Ben Schigel (CHIMAIRA, DROWNING POOL, STEMM, WALLS OF JERICHO) and was mastered by Maor Appelbaum in Los Angeles.

A video shoot for the track "Un-Slaved" took place in February in Moscow. The track features a guest guitar solo by Anders Björler of THE HAUNTED.

ICON IN ME's debut album, "Human Museum", was released in April 2009 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded in November 2007 at Hansen studios in Ribe, Denmark and was mixed by Jacob Hansen.

According to the band's official bio, ICON IN ME's style can best be described as "modern metal with some thrash, death and hardcore style elements."
