HORTUS ANIMAE Sign With SLEASZY RIDER RECORDS

May 30, 2005

HORTUS ANIMAE, the extreme experimental metal project of ANCIENT drummer Diego "GroM" Meraviglia, have inked a deal with Greece's Sleaszy Rider Records for the release of their recently completed sophomore album, "The Blow of Furious Winds". The follow-up to the group's acclaimed 2003 debut, "Waltzing Mephisto", was recorded and mixed at Italy's Alpha-Omega Studios with producer Alex Azzali (ANCIENT) and is scheduled for release in September. The CD will be issued in a digipack containing an enhanced "Making Of..." video portion and two bonus tracks. According to a press release, "The Blow of Furious Winds" is "an amalgam of almost all styles and really represents the band's desire to create the 'musical encyclopedia'."

HORTUS ANIMAE were previously signed to Black Lotus Records.
