HELSTAR And AGENT STEEL To Team Up For 'Majestic Power Metal Assault'

September 19, 2005

Progressive power metal outfits HELSTAR and AGENT STEEL will burn across the skies of Southern California and Texas for a limited number of performances.

Word has spread like a wildfire throughout the metal community that singer James Rivera (HELSTAR, ex-SEVEN WITCHES) and guitarist Juan Garcia (AGENT STEEL) have joined forces, along with bassist David Ellefson (ex-MEGADETH),drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-MEGADETH, Y&T, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES) and guitarist Peter Scheithauer, in the upcoming metal onslaught, KILLING MACHINE. The band is presently in negotiations with various record labels to pick up their debut album, which has been recorded, co-produced and mixed by Bill Metoyer, and is tentatively due next spring.

James and Juan decided this would present a great opportunity to bring both of their legendary bands together on the same stage, which each have spent the duration of their musical careers involved in, and not to mention are perfect musical counterparts.

HELSTAR are set to showcase their greatest hits from 1984-1995, plus songs from the DISTANT THUNDER album "Welcome the End", released in 2004 by Massacre Records. HELSTAR will also be promoting the release of their first official live DVD by Perris Records, entitled "Burning Alive", containing bonus tracks from the Bang Your Head festival in Germany in 2001, plus additional live footage from last year's performance in San Antonio.

HELSTAR and AGENT STEEL tour dates:

Sep. 23 – San Diego, CA @ Brick by Brick
Sep. 24 - San Marcos, CA @ The Jumping Turtle Club
Oct. 14 – Houston, TX @ Forgetta 'Bout It Club
Oct. 15 - San Antonio, TX @ Tiffany Billiards
