HELLOWEEN: Photos From 'Light The Universe' Video Shoot Posted Online

August 21, 2006

German power metallers HELLOWEEN have uploaded photos from their recent video shoot for the upcoming single, "Light the Universe". The shoot took place at the castle Veldenstein in the southern part of Germany with renowned director Alex Diezinger (NEGATIVE, L'AME IMMORTELLE, EXILIA) of AVA Studios. The clip, which is said to be the first-ever duet in the band's history, also features an appearance by BLACKMORE'S NIGHT singer Candice Night. Check out the pictures at this location.

Look for the "Light the Universe" single to be released in early November. The release should coincide with a big TV and radio campaign. The single itself should contain the video as a bonus, a live rendition of the classic "If I Could Fly" and one more bonus track.

HELLOWEEN announced over the weekend that it has cancelled its previously scheduled North American tour due to "unforeseen logistical and organizational problems. . . Despite good advance ticket sales (where pre-sales already where available),North American organizers of the tour could not guarantee an economical and adequate routing of the tour. Therefore a consequent cancellation two months before tour start seemed the band management to be the fairest for fans and promoters at this point."

HELLOWEEN's latest album, "Keeper of the Seven Keys - The Legacy", is available now on SPV Records. The lineup on the record includes singer Andi Deris, guitarists Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner, bassist Markus Großkopf and drummer Dani Löble (ex-RAWHEAD REXX).
