HELLION Update From Ann Boleyn

February 12, 2002

HELLION frontwoman Ann Boleyn recently posted the following update on the reformed band's current activities:

"After the [recent HELLION] show in Riverside, CA. I began to feel ill. By the following Saturday evening I was in bed --- and sick! I went to see my doctor and she became very concerned because my lymph nodes were very swollen. Most likely it is caused from exhaustion. As many of you know, I am a pace leader for the City of Los Angeles Marathon and it is normal for me to run 20 miles in the morning and do a concert at night! (No wonder why I am feeling tired!)

"In the middle of all the chaos, I am also in the middle of auditioning a new rhythm section! Kurt (from PSYCHIC MAFIA) and 'E' (from RHINO BUCKET) were cool enough to lend a hand for the recent shows. However, they were only a temporary 'fix.'

"During the past few shows, I tried to cut back to 'the bare basics' so that we could afford to tour. However, after reviewing the video tapes --- I am not satisfied with what I saw or heard. I have never been one to make excuses for my performance --- or for the performance of my band and I WON'T START NOW!

"The fans DESERVE a FULL SHOW with a SOUND MAN, A LIGHT MAN, stage hands, a dressing room, etc. A lot of these things may never be seen by the fans --- but they make all the difference in the world!!!

"I have decided that I would rather go out and do the festivals with a full crew and a tight band of seasoned pros — than to play a whole bunch of little clubs with 'temporary' musicians and no road crew! THE FANS DESERVE BETTER!!!

"Right now I am concentrating my efforts into what REALLY MATTERS ...like recovering 100% so I can lead my team to a successful marathon on March 3rd ...like getting the plans solidified for the release of the new album ...and getting a SOLID line-up that is ready for this summers major festivals."
