HELHEIM: CD-Release Concert To Be Streamed Live

April 7, 2011

With their new album, "Heiðindómr ok Mótgangr", already out in Norway, and with a worldwide release date set for May 23, Norwegian Viking metallers HELHEIM will stream the entire set of their release party concert live. Far from being an ordinary performance, the show will be much longer than usual, and will involve the use of two drum kits, concert drums, timpani and French horn players, as well as state of the art VJing and the best sound and light technicians available in Norway. With several superb guest artists also due to make an appearance, the whole event promises to be something very special. The concert will take place on Saturday, April 9 at the Kvarteret in Bergen, and can be watched at this location. Streaming will commence at 22.00 Central European Time and the concert itself will start at 22.30.

HELHEIM's seventh full-length album, "Heiðindómr Ok Mótgangr" follows on last November's release of the "Åsgards Fall" mini-CD, which served as an introduction to the new album. Recorded at Conclave And Earshot Studio in Bergen with producer Bjørnar Nilsen (VULTURE INDUSTRIES, BLACK HOLE GENERATOR) at the helm and mastered by Herbrand Larsen (ENSLAVED),the nine-track album includes guest appearances from TAAKE's Hoest, Gunnar Emmerhoff (EMMERHOFF & THE MELANCHONY BABIES),PV Staff and Trine Mjanger. The first edition of "Heiðindómr Ok Mótgangr" includes a bonus-DVD containing concerts from the 2009 With Full Force and Inferno festivals, as well as the videos for "Dualitet Og Ulver", "Stones To The Burden" and "Jernskogen".

"Heiðindómr Ok Mótgangr" is the band's first release to be sung entirely in Norwegian since "Blod Og Ild" in 2000.
