HEAVY ARTILLERY Announces Release Of Limited-Edition PHANTOM WITCH Mini-LP

April 11, 2008

Since their inception in early 2006, Indiana's PHANTOM WITCH have carved themselves a niche combining the influences of traditional heavy metal, NWOBHM and the riffage of speed metal to hammer out some of the most raw, honest heavy fucking metal this side of 1986. The buzz created by their self-released four song demo caught the attention of New York's Heavy Artillery Records with whom PHANTOM WITCH have teamed up to release their self-titled debut, a vinyl-only six-song mini-LP. The mini-LP will be limited to 500 copies and available exclusively from independent record stores, the bands live shows and directly from the label.

Founding members Rick Cope (vocals and bass) and David Phelps (guitars) met when Rick was first drawn to the sound of Phelps' shrieking guitar solos emanating from the amp room at Guitar Works in Greenwood, Indiana. The duo was joined by Bob Fouts behind the drum kit and PHANTOM WITCH as we know it was born. Culling their influences by bands such as SLAYER, RUNNING WILD, SODOM and JAG PANZER, PHANTOM WITCH quickly made a name for themselves with their unique metal attack, opening for local and national headliners such as THE GATES OF SLUMBER, MERCILESS DEATH, SKELETONWITCH and DEMIRICOUS. Look for PHANTOM WITCH on tour in late summer 2008, dates coming soon.

The self-titled mini LP from PHANTOM WITCH will hit streets on June 10.
