HEAVEN AND HELL $6.66 DVD Promotion Extended At The Exchange

September 3, 2007

The Exchange, an independent record store chain with 21 stores in the Cleveland and Pittsburgh regions, has decided to extend its special sale price offer to fans and their customers for the new HEAVEN AND HELL "Live From Radio City Music Hall" release. The promotion was set up in support of the DVD screening in Cleveland at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on August 29. The DVD is on sale for the low price of $6.66 ($19.99 suggested list price) and the double CD set for only $9.99 ($19.98 suggested list price). Due to popular demand and the excellent response from HEAVEN AND HELL fans the first week of release, The Exchange has restocked its stores with more product and will extend the sale one more week to now end Sunday, September 9. There is a limit of two DVDs and two CDs per customer. Sales of the DVD and CD together have been strong as fans have been picking up both sets to add to their collection for well under $20 — an incredible value!

Rhino Records' HEAVEN AND HELL "Live From Radio City Music Hall" DVD screening, set up by Rhino's HEAVEN AND HELL project manager Liz Erman, at the Rock Hall on August 29 was a tremendous success. The theater was completely filled to standing room only capacity. Many fans arrived early from parts as far away as Canada, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and New York after hearing news of the event through BLABBERMOUTH.NET. The band even filmed a greeting the night before in Los Angeles personally thanking the fans of Cleveland for all of their years of support, the sponsoring local college radio stations and the Rock Hall for hosting the screening. The greeting was sent by courier to Cleveland and played before the DVD. Chris Emig, from Cleveland band CELLBOUND, handled the MC duties for the evening. In addition to the DVD showing, fans were treated to a guest speaking appearance by DVD producer Barry Ehrmann, who revealed a lot of inside, behind-the-scenes information on the making of the DVD. A question-and-answer session immediately followed his speech, with questions from fans ranging from band overdubs to film editing to dealing with the New York City stage unions and fire marshall at the venue to a new HEAVEN AND HELL studio album and even to the true age of Ronnie James Dio. Special giveaways were raffled away throughout the evening, including a grand prize to see the band on September 19 (with ALICE COOPER and QUEENSRŸCHE) at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center near Buffalo, NY that includes backstage passes to meet the band, dinner with the crew, a tour program, CD and DVD. Christopher LaPrairie from Cleveland was chosen as the lucky winner! Mike Palmer from Cleveland won the runner-up grand prize for the limited-edition "Live From Radio City Music Hall" box set. Pre-orders for this set (limited to 5,000 copies) are now being taken on Rhinohandmade.com for $66.66. Free HEAVEN AND HELL tour shirts, programs and posters were passed out at the end of the screening to everyone in attendance.
